Colored Roses
Unbelievable as it may seem, colored roses are a good price this week! Unlike the red roses that are priced higher this time of year because of the demand that Valentines Day brings, colored roses are at regular price and are beautiful. Red roses are pruned in late fall for maximum production in February. This limits the quanity of roses for November and December harvest. Combined with costs for heating greenhouses during the winter months, it is no wonder the cost of red roses is inflated for February 14th.
